Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Scott and Karina, two of our newest members at Vallarta Yacht Club.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Scott and Karina recently relocated to Banderas Bay to begin a new chapter filled with exploration and adventure. At the top of their list? Learning to sail and dive. They're excited to be part of a vibrant community where they can gain new skills, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the best of life on and around the water. To get them off on the right foot, Scott and Karina finished a week-long liveaboard course in La Paz earning their ASA 104/114 certifications.
In their words:
“We look forward to meeting and learning from other adventurous sailors while contributing to the club however we can.”
They’re bringing a spirit of curiosity and enthusiasm, along with a wealth of life experience. Scott spent his career in airborne mission systems architecture, and Karina worked in medical interpretation and education. Now that they have more time to focus on personal pursuits, they’re diving in—literally and figuratively.
They’re especially looking forward to connecting with other members, participating in club events, and becoming active in the VYC community. Whether you're headed out for a sail, swapping dive stories at the bar, or just enjoying a sunset, be sure to say hello and help make them feel at home.
Welcome aboard, Scott and Karina—we’re happy to have you with us.
