Banderas Bay Regatta Closing Party

luna rumba posterThe Banderas Bay Regatta will close with fireworks both onstage and in the sky! Dinner and dancing on the beach. Dinner will be an Italian Buffet. The band will be Luna Rumba, led by Geo Uhrich. Price is $550 pesos or USD 27.50 through March 7.

Tickets are on sale at the club now.

Wait a minute! Didn't we just see these guys at the club? No, that was the Cheko Ruiz New Band. Complicated story but the original Luna Rumba band had both Cheko and Geo in it. They went their separate ways a few years ago, and the Luna Rumba name lives on, featuring Geo.

Which one's better? They are both great. Come see for yourself and decide.

THE SEAS LESS SAILED.

The Benefits and Challenges of Cruising Beyond the Milk Run

Bruce & Alene were last in Puerto Vallarta 12 years ago. Since then they've completed a 60,000 mile circuit of the Pacific aboard their 1969 Cross 46 trimaran Migration. Have you considered visiting Easter Island, Pitcairn, The Southern Tuamotus, Minerva Reef, South New Zealand, Borneo, Japan, the Aleutians, Alaska, or British Columbia? Bruce & Alene weigh the benefits and challenges of sailing to some of these less-visited places and offer practical advice on preparing yourself and your boat for voyaging after the Milk Run. And they have some cool photos, too!

Bruce Balan & Alene D. Rice, s/v Migration
