BBR Opening Party - Mexican Fiesta

To celebrate our good fortune to be in Mexico, enjoying the good life in the Paradise of white sands, warm blue water and swaying palm trees, we will enjoy an evening of delicious Mexican food at the Vallarta Yacht Club with a Buffet Mexicano. Live music will be there for your listening pleasure. This event will be open to everyone, even those who are not participants in the Regatta.

BBR Boat Parade

This is the only chance for spectators on shore to see the BBR competitors up close before they head out to the Bay to begin racing with their boats and crew. Each boat will pass before a reviewing stand where an announcer will introduce each boat and crew, adding colorful commentary about the skipper and crew, as well as interesting history of the boat. Boats will line up in the vecinity of the Paradise Village Marina and will pass single file past the reviewing stand on the way out to the Bay. We are not asking skippers to decorate their boats this year, but all BBR participants are encouraged to join the parade.

BBR Burgers and Beer

Join your fellow racers after the ravenous and thirsty practice day racers for hamburgers or hot dogs (or chicken or fish sandwiches), along with beer or a mojito, at the VYC clubhouse. This will be open to everyone, and will include live music from Piratas Verdes !

BBR Italian Dinner

The party doesn't stop, with music by the Rhythm Roosters and carbo-load with an Italian dinner! Open to everyone.

BBR Seafood Night

Live music and seafood! What could be better? If you happen to have caught any fish during the event, be sure to bring them so that our kitchen staff can do their magic and turn them into fish tacos. As with other nights, this will be open to anyone, and will be accompanied by the music of the The Expirals. See you there!

Optimist North American Championship

This is the third time  that VYC has been host to the Optimist North American Championships. This year we will see 180 competitors from over 25 countries come to compete this important continental championship. We need volunteers! We have open volunteer positions onshore and on the water. It's a great way to get a front row seat to the sailing event of the season! Linda at greenlr01@gmail.com to let her know you want to help.

Regatta de Revolucion

Every year, VYC hosts a regatta to commemorate Dia de la Revolucion. This year we are expecting Optimists, Lasers, C420s and sailboards for this event. This is the first club regatta of the season - come on out as a spectator or as a volunteer and enjoy the race!
