12:00	8:00 Opti North Americans 2014 Optinam 2014 Championship officially begins. 175 competitors from 19 countries will begin the measurement process for their boats and sails. They will then compete for 6 days on the water to determine the North American Champion for Opti Class. On July 16, awards will be presented to the top competitors.

Vallarta Yacht Club is and always will be an independent, volunteer-run, non-profit organization of boating enthusiasts. Our mission is:

To provide an attractive, comfortable, and active private social environment for residents of and visitors to Banderas Bay who have interest in yachting, other aquatic activities, sport fishing, sport diving, and related social activities.
To promote, sponsor, manage, and provide facilities for amateur and professional regional, national, and international aquatic events such as yacht regattas and rallies, sport fishing tournaments, sport diving events, and marine training and educational programs and seminars.
To sponsor charitable events and activities which benefit the Banderas Bay region and its residents.
