Banderas Bay Beercan Series

VYC Wednesday Beer Can Rally. The Beer Can Rallies will sail off Bucerias every other Wednesday until Banderas Bay Regatta in March 2023.

We start these fun events November 9. They continue every other Wednesday until March 15 where the race will be part of the Banderas Bay Regatta "Start Your Heart Out" practice day. The beer can races are free to enter and can be sailed just for fun. If you will be sailing in BBR, please contact VYC to make sure we know enough about your boat to assign a handicap.

The Bob O'hara Memorial Pot Luck

Join us for a traditional Sunday Pot Luck dinner. The grill will be fired up, and you can use dishes from the VYC kitchen. 

As our good friend Bob O'hara used to say, "Bring something to grill and something to share". it's a great way to connect with friends.

Mexican Train

Mondays and Wednesdays are Group Play Days for the Train with play starting at 1 pm. All VYC members and their guests are welcome to play together regardless of age, sex, language, or experience. Beginners are welcome! One set serves 8 players max, 6 more comfortably.  You may also use the club sets to play at VYC on other days and times. Please keep sets in their own boxes so that pieces are not mixed or lost. Share the fun with your family and friends! Meet you at the train station!

Would You Like to Paint?

Well known local artist Federico Leon de la Vega will be teaching painting at the Vallarta Yacht Club, commencing with a FREE introductory session on Wednesday December 14th at 2 pm. He will help you improve your painting skills whether you are a first time painter or have a lifetime of experience. Classes will be given on a range of subjects from still life, humans and the environment, to more active scenes  such as seascapes. Federico will supply the acrylic paint, brushes and canvas. This class provides an opportunity to discuss your painting goals. He will also give an interesting overview of painting in Mexico,. Bring your questions, get to know each other and enjoy this informative session.

Navidad en la Playa

An annual tradition at VYC: We meet at El Coral Restaurant on Las Animas beach for Christmas. There is usually good cellular coverage so you can send those "On the beach in Mexico" photos to your friends and family that are stuck in the snow. The drinks and food are good, the prices reasonable, and the people watching is great. Many boats welcome extra passengers - this year we would like to see 40-60 people!
