This is an application for a handicap for Vallarta Yacht Club Events. If your boat competed in a previous BBR or Vallarta Cup or other VYC event and it hasn't changed, you probably don't need to do this!  Just let us know what handicap we used for you and what year you competed. Generally, we base these handicaps on US PHRF for your boat (Southern California PHRF is preferred), so if you already have a PHRF certificate, you'll help us a lot by providing a copy, just email to us at sss@vallartayachtclub.org, or drop a copy by the club. We base monohull ratings on Southern California PHRF, Random Leg Course. Multi Hull ratings are based on Texel Rating Rule. Cruising boats are futher adjusted for extra weight, types and sizes of sails, etc. The more information you can provide, the better we can handicap your boat. Please help us help you!

The list of VYC handicaps is available HERE <Click
