Last Saturday December 6th the Vallarta Yacht Club and co-sponsor Paradise Village held the 9th annual Cruisers' Great Chili Cook-Off.
This annual event is held for various charities and this year the monies raised is earmarked for medicine and medical supplies for the families of the dump.
This year the Cook-Off had 12 teams competing and was the greatest Cook-Off in history.

There were three categories and the winners are as follows;
Commercial Division (retail stores/restaurant):
- 1st place: Beach Bums
- 2nd place: Route 200 Choppers
Home/Condo Division:
- 1st place: Mercedes Chili Espania
- 2nd place: Land Cruisers of Bucerias
Cruisers' Division:
- 1st place: Veggie Raptor
- 2nd place: Equinox
Presentation Award: French Twist Bistro
With all the fun the real winners are the Families of the Dump, The Chili Cook-Off raised $47,111.00 pesos a 30% gain over last year. 
The VYC and Paradise Village wants to thank all of the participants and all of the helpers that put together this successful event and mostly wants to thank everybody that came to the event, we could not have done it without you.
