February 1st kicked off the month with a bang ... the "Pareo, Fashions, Flirts and More" fashion show was a hit! Over 140 attended the 3-course luncheon and were treated to a display of beautiful fashions, matched only by our local beauties modeling the designs. One after another the beachwear, skirts, sparkly dresses, and perfectly matched hats and bags were an incredible display of fun, ingenuity and color. These original outfits ranged from flirty to casual to sexy, and all were delightful.
Designs from Mina Garcia, Pat May, Phyllis Gordon, Karen Guthrie and accessories from Ibis de Teresa were a hit. This show, now in its second year, is sure to be an annual event. Who could resist? Even men in the VYC took part, buying outfits being modeled by their wives or strutting down the runway in crisp straw hats. "Thank you" to all the volunteers who made this happen, we had a great time.
